The first card represents the present time in your life.
The card drawn was “Gi”. And is a Sweat Lodge elemental card. This is a card that is telling you that you need to make a fresh start in life spiritually. If you let it, the light (sun) will rise and you will be able to see your way forward in life with a new clarity. It will not be easy (what in life ever is?) but if you have the courage to face the new challenge you can succeed. There is an opportunity before you to transform your way of looking at things, to broaden your point of view and expand the scope of your awareness. This should be a time of inspiration for you, begin to understand all that is all around you and journey past your present limitations.
The second card is to help you understand what is limiting you, or what is keeping you from moving forward on your path.
The card drawn was “Chunupa Wakan”. You are being told that at present you are not in balance with either the earth or spirit. The Sioux believe that to be able to advance as an individual you had to not only respect the earth but walk in balance with it. The same, of course, also applies to spirit. It is very easy in modern society to become totally caught up in the every day turmoil of modern life and forget our original ties to earth and spirit.
The third card tells you what is causing discomfort, or is restricting you and must be left behind.
The card drawn was “Tob Tob” (as in the 16 great mysteries Tob Tob – there are two different Tob Tobs). This card in a way is referring back to the previous. It is telling you that you are not yet seeing the connection of all life and are not accepting all things as they are. You need to use the divine wisdom that is within each of us to reach for that which is for your highest good. Wisdom is the ability to see the connection of all life and to accept all things as they are. That includes fully accepting yourself in any given moment. Wisdom links intuitive feelings with the factual information known to the mind. When you act with wisdom you are opening yourself to guidance from the Universe. But it is just that – guidance. Part of learning to advance spiritually is to recognize that not every opportunity provided by the Universe means you HAVE to act and act NOW. The time may not be right for you. Using your inner wisdom will let you determine if the time is right, or not.
The fourth card represents something you are now called upon to develop, or do, to advance on your path.
The card drawn was “Tate”. “The Wind”, and again, one of the 16 great mysteries. I find this card very interesting considering the crystal oracle reading about change of path. Tate is a card of change. At times quite dramatic change in fact. It is telling you to consider “stirring things up” and making some changes. There are times that major changes are called for, and times the changes should only be minor. So whether you choose to (for example) rearrange the furniture along Feng Shui lines or change your choice of career, it is up to you to determine the appropriate change. In particular this card says if there is a change you have been avoiding, it is now time to take the necessary steps to facilitate that change. This card is subtitled “The Wind” and the belief is that the wind carries seeds to their new place of growth, and the changes you make loosen the topsoil, allowing you to cultivate the new ground to which you have been carried. That is a little literal maybe but even so it is not a bad metaphor for what can be done in life.
The fifth card represents action to be taken that will facilitate your growth and bring you the confidence you need to attain your goal of rebirth.
The card drawn was “Inyan”. And… yet another of the 16 great mysteries. Inyan is telling you to look at the foundations of your life and take steps to achieve/create balance there. This is kind of interesting because this card is also about using wisdom. Consider the aspects of your life that you feel are out of balance. Ask yourself “what do I need here to achieve balance”? and then use your wisdom to discern the answer. This is about bringing balance and harmony to all aspects of your life that are troubling – including your surroundings funnily enough seeing as I mentioned Feng Shui as an example earlier. The stresses in your life are tilting your spiritual balance. Examine the influences that cause this imbalance and in the short term see how you can at least minimize them, even if the imbalance cannot be totally eliminated. Also, determine whether you have your priorities right. Pressure, whether self-imposed, or imposed by others, creates stress. Stress creates imbalance. Imbalance will stop or slow down your spiritual progression. Determine which of these pressures are truly important and then relax the responsibility you place on yourself with regard to the others.
The sixth card tells you of the message presented to you by spirit.
The card drawn was “Pita”. A spirit lodge elemental. This is a pretty rare card to draw. My husband has drawn it a couple of times but this is the first time I ever have. Again, a link to the crystal oracle strikes me. Do you remember me saying “If you do so you may well find yourself playing a more important (and fulfilling) role in times to come”? In relation to taking a different path? Remember the words important and fulfilling as I go on. This, as I said, is a most unusual card. This card is asking you to look at your inner flame. Your inner flame burns for all eternity of course, but you will leave a part of your light behind when it is your time to “go to Spirit”. You are being asked… What will you leave behind? What influence would you like to have on the world you will one day leave? Major impact? Or minor? That could well depend upon choices or changes you make. On a more personal level you are being told to look very carefully inside you and remember that every word you speak, every action you take will be passed down to your children and to others. Make sure that the teachings you wish to impart are worthy.
The seventh and last card reflects the present and the future.
The card drawn was “Tob Tob”. This time Tob Tob of the 8 supernaturals. This card is like a summary of what your journey to the next spiritual level will be. You are being told to take steps to protect yourself from internal and external interference on your journey (have faith in yourself and your own intuition/wisdom). Reinforce your abilities and strengths, whilst deflecting anything that diminishes your sense of your higher purpose. As you open up and express/experience your higher self, you will be opening yourself up to accelerated lessons and growth experiences. You may find yourself facing some difficult teachers amongst those with whom you come in contact. You may find yourself confronting issues you would prefer to remain quietly buried. We often encounter emotional manipulation when we have resisted letting go and moving forward, or when we have missed opportunities to face a particular lesson. Free yourself from the attitude that internalizes every situation and interaction. Remember that the people with whom you interact have their own challenges and lessons to face. Be kind to yourself and be understanding to others. If it is time to remove yourself from a situation or relationship, do so. Ask for internal guidance. If there is no need to remain in an uncomfortable, unsupportive relationship, job, or circumstance, get out and move on to the next step.
