The geomantic tableau has sixteen possible figures. Each figure has a name and a set of attributes. Each figure is good or bad to some degree. Each has attributed associations. Downward pointing figures are said to be entering and stable. Upward pointing figures are said to be exiting and movable. Figures that point in both directions can be either.
